General Information about Volunteers

This race is a USA Triathlon (USAT) certified race. The event will take place on June 26th, 2016.

The purpose of the race is to introduce athletes to the sport of triathlon, without the daunting task of having to be proficient in each of the three disciplines. It is also to encourage families, friends and co-workers to participate in an event that promotes a healthy lifestyle and camaraderie. To facilitate such a race, volunteers are an essential part. Whether you want to give back to the community or cheer on friends, volunteering is a great way to be involved. There are a number of positions that need to be filled to accommodate both the overall race and the actual participants. This is over and above the support of an any specific team. The list of positions are shown below.

Please review the list and then go to the Volunteer signup page and signup officially. It is important that you do this BEFORE the race day. If you want to sign up for more than one position, and the positions do not conflict with each other, you may do so. As a volunteer, it is important to know what time to be in your volunteer position on race day; it will be indicated on the Volunteer Signup sheet or told to you by the Volunteer Co-ordiantor. Positions must be occupied before the race starts, so if you are not sure about the time, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.

Note: Volunteers will receive a T-shirt, breakfast and participation in a feel good event.
